Why do we do our work? Look at the faces of these kids, you'll understand. We want to share with you some stories of our little heroes.
Now Yan is 9 years old. He was born healthy. After one of the vaccinations he suddenly shouted, he lost the sucking reflex and the went into a coma for 5 days. When Ian woke up, he was diagnosed with "atypical neuroinfection", which is then was followed by three apoplectic attacks. At six months the baby had already undergone three operations to remove tumors in the brain, after which he was paralyzed.
When the doctors sent the boy home, they did not give any comforting predictions. However, the grandma told the paramedics: "We will invite you to the wedding, just wait!". The struggle for the boy's health began.
Due to numerous rehabilitation courses Janoshka (as his grandmother calls him) has achieved a lot: 100% hearing, 10% vision, thanks to laser and electrical stimulation he eats regular food (the doctors said that the boy would eat through a tube). Ian has restored the sensitivity of the whole body, the boy couldn't even smile, but now he laughs and fully understands addressed speech. The baby can sit with support, stand on all fours. Our Organization helped Ian and his grandmother to visit the health resort. But the most important achievement of a boy was in the Grossko centre, where he was sent with the help of our Organization - he took his first step. It was real happiness! After another year of rehabilitation doctors say there's hope that the boy will walk.
"Now every movement of Ian is a victory" - says the grandmother Lubov Viktorovna.
Rehabilitation is going on, there is still a lot of work to be done and. In addition to physical activities the boy began to develop his speech skills. Speech therapists are encouraging the family and say that the current speech level can be developed with constant exercises. "A miracle certainty will happen" - hopefully says the grandmother
