Fyodor G.

Our stories

Why do we do our work? Look at the faces of these kids, you'll understand. We want to share with you some stories of our little heroes.

This is Fyodor, he is five years old. The boy grows and looks like all the kids of his age. The only thing: he can’t hear and, therefore, can’t speak.

His diagnosis reads as bilateral sensorineural hearing loss of the 4th degree, allied to deafness. At four years Fedor virtually had no vocabulary and no opportunities to hear the voices of the loved ones and the world. The baby underwent a surgery, but in order to learn how to hear and speak, he needed expensive rehabilitation. Fyodor received an intensive oral-aural treatment and successfully completed the first course: Fyodor began to repeat sounds and syllables. The boy added a few words to the active vocabulary, he counts the number of sounds and relates it to the image, distinguishes different musical instruments. Fyodor exercises with interest.

Further development required further rehabilitation. Our Organization paid for a course of rehabilitation and now there is hope that in a short time Fyodor will pronounce his first word "Mama" learn to hear and understand speech addressed to him and in future will catch up with his peers in speech development.
